YMMV — I keep thinking it means “You Make Me Vomit.” Yup. Just like those old puzzles where you have a series of letters and had to come up with the phrase they abbreviated. First think I think of. So I’m going to insert my version where ever you put YMMV, and giggle.

The Keen Targhee II is consistently a high rated light weight hiker year after year. Shoes are a very personal item, everyone has different feet. The Targhee II is my go to shoe for everyday activity, my feet hurt in every other shoe I wear and this one gives me the support I need. I’m sorry they didn’t work for you, and the sales staff at REI can be tough to take, some of them are so passionate about their job it makes you want to vomit, but I think they have good intentions. Anyway, I just wanted to add a positive data point for these boots, I would be in pain without them, some of us need a shoe to take the ‘feeling’ of the ground away from our feet :) Thanks for doing the review!

I totally see what you are saying here. Similar thing happened to me when I was looking for a pair of boots in a Columbia store. Fortunately, my girlfriend was there as well to counteract the salesman’s speech… Useful review BTW
