How to follow my PCT thru-hike progress
I’m heading out from Oakland tomorrow. Can’t believe the hike is just a few days away now.
Follow my PCT thru-hike progress
If you’re interested in following my PCT progress on the trail, there are a few options:
Using the above links, you can follow me on Twitter (@alicehikes), “like” my page on Facebook, or add the blog to your RSS reader of choice (http://alicehikes.com/feed/).
I added an email subscription button to the blog, below the recent posts feature on the sidebar. If you sign up for this, on days that I publish something new, you’ll get an email with the full text of the post.
You can also sign up here:
Some of these options overlap: my tweets automatically post to the Facebook page, and the 3 most recent show up in the sidebar of the blog as well. Choose whatever option works best for you, or feel free to just drop by this site whenever.
On previous trips, I’ve sent out email updates on what I’ve been doing. I won’t be doing that on this trip, so if you like that sort of update, I recommend the email subscription option above.
Blogging plan
When I’m in trail towns, I may be writing short blog updates from my iPhone or local computers. I make no promises though, as I don’t want to get frustrated trying to find wifi or service. Plus, I hate typing on my iPhone.
While I’m on the trail itself, I plan to not be blogging. I’ll be keeping that paper journal, so look for trail journal posts after I finish. I may change my mind and be online from time to time, so please don’t hesitate to say hi in the comment section.
Russell has generously offered to update social media for me while I am hiking. Look for his updates via Twitter.
I prefer to follow these hiking blogs by e-mail, but I couldn’t get the one on your page to work. Darn. Good luck to you.
I can add you manually if you’d like.
